Many species of bacteria, fungi or yeasts can grow in warm water and quickly reach high titers. Therefore, water baths and humidified incubators in microbiology or cell culture laboratories represent potential sources of contamination by providing ideal environmental conditions for microbial growth. Excessively frequent water changes are inconvenient and time consuming. That is why we offer water disinfection additives that effectively inhibit the growth of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi and yeast) for up to 4 weeks. These products contain surfactants, quaternary ammonium compounds and complexing agents to keep the water clean and free of living microorganisms and prevent the formation of scale. They also contain a dye, which turns from light blue to colorless when the water needs to be changed.
