-20°CSulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the sulfate conjugation of many hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotic compounds. These cytosolic enzymes are different in their tissue distributions and substrate specificities. The gene structure(number and length of exons) is similar among family members. SULT4A1b is selectively expressed in brain tissue. Isoform b includes an alternate segment, compared to isoform a, that causes a frameshift. The resulting protein (isoform b) has a distinct and shorter C-terminus when compared to isoform a.||Applications: |Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|ELISA: 1:1,000 |Western Blot: 1:100-1:500|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. ||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
