-20°CMuscle myosin is a hexameric protein that consists of 2 heavy chain subunits (MHC), 2 alkali light chain subunits (MLC) and 2 regulatory light chain subunits (MLC-2). Cardiac MHC exists as two isoforms in humans, alpha-cardiac MHC and beta-cardiac MHC. These two isoforms are expressed in different amounts in the human heart. During normal physiology, beta-cardiac MHC is the predominant form, with the alpha-isoform contributing around only 7% of the total MHC. Mutations of the MHC genes are associated with several different dilated and hypertrophic cardiomyopathies.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilutions:|Immunohistochemistry: 1:300|Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:300 Requires HIER using sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 prior to staining.|Western Blot: 1:500|Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:300|ELISA: 1:300|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
