Anti-Nanos2 Monoclonal Antibody

Nanos2 is a cytoplasmic RNA-binding protein that belongs to the Nanos family of translational repressors. The 138 amino acid (aa) protein contains a 55 aa nanos-type zinc finger domain with two C2HC motifs. Human and mouse Nanos2 share identity 75% aa sequence identity overall but 95% within the zinc finger RNA binding domain. In the mouse, Nanos2 is located in male germ cells and is essential for spermatogenesis.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml detection limit for rhNanos2 is ~ 2.5ng/well. |Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml detection limit for rhNanos2 is ~ 5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. |Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability:|Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
