CA 15-3 (Breast Tumor. 15-3, MUC1, MUC-1) (APC)

CA 15-3 (or MUC1) is the most widely used serum marker in breast cancer. MUC1 appears to play a role in cell adhesion and the high levels present in cancer may be causally involved in metastasis. MUC1 is a large transmembrane glycoprotein which is frequently overexpressed and aberrantly glycosylated in cancer. CA 15-3 is a preclinicla marker for recurrent breast cancer and is used to monitor treatment of patients with advanced breast cancer.||Applications: |Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilutions:|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
