4°C Do Not FreezeTransforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) is a pleiotropic growth factor whose amino acid sequence is highly conserved. Mature TGF-beta is usually present as a disulfide-linked dimer with 112 amino acids per subunit, which mediates its action by interacting with cell surface receptors. Three primary TGF-beta receptors have been described: TGF-beta receptor type I (53kD), type II (70-85kD) and type III (250-350kD), although other molecules such as Activin and Inhibin receptors that also bind to TGF-beta family members have been described. Most cells appear to express TGF-beta receptors, but the density and types of receptors largely depend on the growth conditions, differentiation status, and the presence of other growth factors.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Has been validated by Flow Cytometry on TGF-beta RII-transfected cells only. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Flow Cytometry: 10ul per 1x10e6 cells|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Hybridoma: |Mouse myeloma cells with B cells from Balb/c mice.||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. PerCP conjugates are sensitive to light.
