Our 6q21/MYB probe is designed to detect deletions in the 6q21 and 6q23.3 regions bearing SEC63 and MYB. The probe comes labeled in orange and green, but can be customized to meet your needs.

Gene Background: Chromosome 6q deletions are frequent in a variety of cancers and lymphoproliferative disorders, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, multiple myeloma, diffuse large B cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma.1 MYB and SEC63 are located at two regions commonly lost in 6q- patients. MYB is a transcriptional regulator that plays a central role in directing hematopoiesis, and is a well-established oncogene in several lymphomas and leukemias.2 SEC63 regulates the transport of precursor polypeptides across the endoplasmic reticulum; beyond its role in human cancer, the gene has also been found to drive pathogenesis in polycystic liver disease.3
