Merlin (NF2, MERL, Moesin-ezrin-radizin-like protein, Neurofibromatosis type 2 gene, Neurofibromatosis-2, Neurofibromin 2, NF-2, SCH, Schwannomerlin, Schwannomin)

This gene encodes a protein that is similar to some members of the ERM (ezrin, radixin, moesin) family of proteins that are thought to link cytoskeletal components with proteins in the cell membrane. This gene product has been shown to interact with cell-surface proteins, proteins involved in cytoskeletal dynamics and proteins involved in regulating ion transport.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution: |Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
