About This Kit

900-T31K consists of: 900-T31 (capture antibody, detection antibody, and protein standard), and HRP-17UL (streptavidin HRP-conjugate).

Human CCL2 (MCP-1) TMB ELISA Development Kit contains the key components required for the quantitative measurement of natural and/or recombinanthuman CCL2 (MCP-1) in a sandwich ELISA format. Human CCL2 (MCP-1) TMB ELISA Development Kit contains enough material to assay the target cytokine in at least 1,000 ELISA plate wells.

The TMB ELISA Buffer Kit (Product # 900-T00), sold separately, is recommended to be used in conjunction with this TMB ELISA Development Kit for optimal performance. This buffer kit contains all the necessary components to assay ten 96-well ELISA plates (included) and contains detailed handling instructions.

Target information

This gene is one of several cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The protein encoded by this gene is structurally related to the CXC subfamily of cytokines. Members of this subfamily are characterized by two cysteines separated by a single amino acid. This cytokine displays chemotactic activity for monocytes and basophils but not for neutrophils or eosinophils. It has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by monocytic infiltrates, like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis. It binds to chemokine receptors CCR2 and CCR4.
